Art Auction to Aid Homeless Families

“The Fine Art of Helping,” the Galerie Michael and The Spare Change Project’s second annual art auction to benefit homeless families in Los Angeles, will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Lowe’s Santa Monica Beach Hotel.
Proceeds from art sales (Picassos, Renoirs, Hockneys and Rembrandts) and food sales (prepared by Authentic Cafe, Jacopo’s, Nicky Blair’s, II Giardino, Pane Caldo, Yanks, East India Grille, Patout’s and others) will be used to benefit the Family Assistance Program of Hollywood, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping homeless families secure permanent housing and jobs.
