TRIBUTE

Jean Stapleton, Esther Rolle and Danny Glover are the latest names added to the roster of performers who will participate in a reception and program Wednesday evening celebrating the 25th anniversary of KCET Channel 28. The event at the Directors Guild of America Theater in Hollywood will include a screening of highlights of notable programs aired by the public-TV station during the last quarter-century, plus tributes from personalities who have been involved with the station. Steve Allen, LeVar Burton, Taylor Hackford, Norman Lloyd, Jayne Meadows, Lynne Littman, Bill Duke and Rosana de Soto are others scheduled to take part. The event is sponsored by the Directors Guild, New York’s Museum of Broadcasting and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
