Indian troops killed 33 Tamil rebels and wounded 30 in a clash in northern Sri Lanka, a spokesman for the Indian High Commission said. The encounter took place as Sri Lanka limped back to normal after a three-day curfew and as officials held a third day of talks over the deployment of Indian troops in Sri Lanka.
