FULLERTON GIRLS’ BASKETBALL : Indians Top Katella to Take Tournament

FULLERTON — Sommer McLane scored 33 points and had 23 rebounds to lead the Fullerton High School girls’ basketball team to a 48-41 victory over Katella Thursday in the championship game of the Fullerton tournament.
The Indians shot poorly in the first half and trailed by six points at halftime. But using a full-court zone press, Fullerton (4-0) rallied.
Lynn Gilbert added 16 rebounds and eight points for Fullerton.
In the consolation game:
Garden Grove 56, Western 31--Julie Ikerd scored 16 points for the Argonauts (2-2).
