Largest Pennsylvania Thrift Seized: Federal regulators seized control of Atlantic Financial Federal, Pennsylvania’s biggest savings and loan, after the thrift failed to meet strict new rules imposed on the troubled industry. Atlantic has at least $7 billion in assets, making it the nation’s 29th-largest thrift.
