Entertainer Sammy Davis Jr. has suffered a recurrence of throat cancer, a hospital spokesman said Friday.
Davis, 64, had been diagnosed with throat cancer in September and was being treated at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, hospital spokesman Ron Wise said.
The singer-dancer was admitted to the hospital three weeks ago for treatment of an oral yeast infection brought on by ongoing treatments to control the cancer, Wise said. While in the hospital, doctors discovered the cancer had recurred.
