FYI : The Baby Gap
The newest addition to the Gap family of stores is, what else, baby Gap for sizes 0 to 24 months. The clothes are made of natural fibers and in many of the same prints, florals and oversized stripes, used on the yuppie Gap sizes. Forget fuzzy bunny pinks and baby bear blues but they’ll still make you squeal “Ooooh, it’s so cute.”
The colors are milk-based organics--cream of tomato red, macaroni-and-cheese yellow and boysenberry yogurt purple.
The prices are usually under $20--the snap-front cardigan, $18, Henley T-shirt, $12, short sleeved T $8.50, striped pull on pants, $14, floral print hat, $8.50 and matching shoes, $10. The only Los Angeles area baby Gap is in South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa with more expected soon.
Now all they need are some quasi-famous babies for their individual’s of style ad campaign. Let’s see, there’s Baby Face Nelson, Baby Huey, Baby Jane Holzer. . . .
