Hearing Program

Your article of March 5 titled “Here, Deaf Can Be Like the Others” (March 5) was informative but fell short of providing one of the most important aspects of the program: where to get information about it.
The Orange County Department of Education is very proud of the efforts made by the people involved in this program and I am disappointed that, once again, reference to the department’s administrative role was omitted. While providing your readership with vital information on a program such as this, it seems incongruent with good journalism to omit where to secure help if needed.
Inquiries regarding the Hearing Impaired Program should be directed to Carolyn Rowland, principal, Orange County Department of Education, 200 Kalmus Drive, Costa Mesa, Calif. 92626.
