ON THE STREET: The same retrenchment that has hit Wall Street (A1) has made ripples in Orange County. . . . One example: Shearson Lehman Hutton’s reorganization by parent American Express earlier this month. . . . It will result in the closing of two of Shearson’s six offices here, combining the Santa Ana and Orange offices and moving Mission Viejo operations to Costa Mesa. . . . The company has an estimated 350 employees in the county, but officials won’t say how many will lose their jobs.
