Fairfax : Seniors Program Resumes

The Oasis program will resume its classes for senior citizens at the May Co. store at Fairfax Avenue and Wilshire Boulevard later this month, director Thea Neal said.
The program includes folk dancing, painting, art appreciation, literature, computer literacy, Spanish, French, psychology, ballet, bridge and acting for television and movies.
Classes begin April 18. Anyone over age 60 can enroll at the recently renovated Oasis office, on the fifth floor of the May Co. building. The program had been suspended since December.
Oasis serves more than 60,000 seniors in 16 cities. Another Oasis program operates out of a May Co. store in the Crenshaw Mall. For information, call (213) 938-4211, Ext. 2966.
