The Peter Jensen Memorial Road Race for cyclists is scheduled for today in the Mission Oaks neighborhood of Camarillo. The event is named in memory of a former state cycling champion who died in 1981.
The professional and amateur event will include six categories of competition sanctioned by the United States Cycling Federation. The schedule calls for competition to begin at 7:30 a.m. The final featured event, Category 1-2 Pro Men, starts at 2 p.m.
