Treasury Suspends Bell Atlantic: The Treasury Department suspended Bell Atlantic Corp. from doing business with the federal government after finding that one of the company’s units, Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone Co., made false statements in a bid. The ruling does not affect federal contracts already signed by C&P; and Bell Atlantic.
