Two San Diego men in a pickup truck were shot to death from another vehicle early Sunday morning on Sports Arena Boulevard at Interstate 8.
Sokunthea Chhim, 19, and Bunseth Kem, 18, were killed at about 1 a.m. in what police have called a gang-related shooting. Companions of the two victims reported the incident to a police officer who was making a traffic stop nearby, but no suspects were apprehended.
Kem died at the scene, and Chhim died shortly after being taken to UCSD Medical Center.
