El Camino High guard Travis Gilley signed a letter of intent Monday to play basketball for the Air Force Academy.
Gilley, a 6-foot-3 off guard, averaged 23 points, six assists and four rebounds for the Section 2-A champions. He also made 89 three pointers, shot 50% from the field and 86% from the free throw line. Included in that 86% was a 31 for 31 streak during the Section playoffs and Southern California Regional Playoffs.
Named to Cal-Hi Magazine’s all-scholastic team, Gilley carried a 3.8 grade-point average. He chose to attend Air Force over Colorado State and the University of Pennsylvania.
