Officer Mark Warschaw said the man was found in the crosswalk at Reseda Boulevard and Strathern Street about 10:30 a.m. Monday. He had suffered massive injuries, apparently when he was hit by a car that did not stop, and died Monday afternoon at Northridge Hospital Medical Center.
Police have found no witnesses. The victim carried no identification. He was described as about 60 to 65 years old, 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing about 135 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes, and of Latino, Middle Eastern or Filipino descent.
