NATION : Plane Crashes on Dallas Street

DALLAS — A twin-engine plane that experienced engine trouble on two takeoff attempts from Love Field crashed in flames on a street near the airport early today, killing the pilot.
D. A. Johnson, 38, the pilot and lone occupant of the plane, was killed when the Beechcraft Baron crashed and exploded in flames south of the airport’s main runway, said Assistant City Aviation Director Frank Breedlove.
