Law Permits Little Dignity in Dying

Thanks for Dr. Beisser’s article “Life, Death and Dignity.” It certainly struck home since I have a father in a similar situation who is bed-ridden with Parkinson’s disease, and (who is) for all intents and purposes immobile. Apart from the painful and complex issues raised in being allowed to die with dignity, I whole-heartedly agree with Dr. Beisser’s belief that overall we need to be more open on the matter of death, and, in doing so, we can better make use of the time we have.
