Water and Building
San Diego County has a drought.
The homeowner is going to be asked to give up his landscaping, and the farmers their living.
For enjoyment, landscaping is as important as living-room furniture.
San Diego County has a limited water supply, and the limits have been a matter of public record since 1964.
The real culprit is the poor management and blindness of our public officials.
The shortsighted greed for builders’ fees has resulted in overbuilding. Building beyond the available water supply.
Conservation and water rationing won’t change the facts.
It’s time to put a moratorium on all new construction, because there isn’t water for more subdivisions--either now or in the future.
