CALIFORNIA IN BRIEF : SAN BERNARDINO : 2.8 Quake Rattles Northwestern Area

A 2.8-magnitude earthquake rattled an area centered three miles northwest of San Bernardino Friday, but caused no reported damage or injuries, authorities said. The shaker, which struck at 8:40 a.m., was not related to any other recent earthquakes in the area, Caltech Seismology Lab spokesman Robert Finn said. A 5.5-magnitude earthquake struck the Upland area on Feb. 28 and was followed by a series of aftershocks.
