Times Mirror Purchases Two Magazines: Times Mirror Magazines Inc. has purchased two marine publications that will be folded into magazines that it already owns. Tournament Digest, a Florida publication covering salt-water fishing tournaments, will be combined with Salt Water Sportsman. The Yacht, a New York magazine, will be merged with Yachting. The company--a New York-based subsidiary of Times Mirror Co., which also owns The Times--named Patricia Campbell, executive vice president of operations, as group publisher for the marine titles.
