Santa Fe 3, Hesperia 1--Lisa Shandy, 24-1 during the season, held off Hesperia hitters and Santa Fe got three second-inning runs in winning the 2-A championship at Mayfair Park.
The Chiefs scored two runs on a double by catcher Laura Berg and another on catcher’s interference.
Hesperia’s score came in the fourth inning on Dee Ranes’ RBI double.
Santa Fe, of the Whitmont League, finished 25-1. Hesperia, of the San Andreas League, finished 23-6.
