Cal Poly Student Wins Research Competition

John Paterson, an aerospace engineering major at Cal Poly Pomona, has been awarded the Theodore VonKarman Trophy at the annual student research competition sponsored by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
Paterson presented a paper, “Low Cost Navigation Systems for Unmanned Air Vehicles,” that described the results of computer simulations of flight paths based on three different navigation methods.
