Bob Lurie, chairman of the San Francisco Giants, presented a plan for a $134-million, 45,000-seat open-air stadium to Santa Clara city officials. The plan calls for the site to be ready for construction by January of 1992, with the stadium’s scheduled opening set for April of 1994.
