DISTINGUISHED ALUM--Kareem Abdul-Jabbar will receive the Edward A. Dickson Alumnus of the Year Achievement Award from the The UCLA Alumni Assn. at the 45th annual Alumni Awards for Excellence Ceremony on Sunday at 3 p.m. at the campus’ Perloff Quad. Named for UC Regent Edward A. Dickson, the award is given each year to a UCLA graduate whose personal accomplishments have brought recognition and distinction to the university.
