WORLD in Brief : LEBANON : Three Infiltrators Seized Near Israel

Militiamen of the Israeli-allied South Lebanon Army captured three Palestinian guerrillas as they tried to infiltrate into northern Israel, the Israeli army reported. The militia spotted the three-man squad moving towards the border about 2 miles north of the settlement of Misgav Am. In Lebanon, rival Christian forces skirmished with mortars in Christian East Beirut, raising fears that a fragile, 23-day-old cease-fire brokered by the Vatican could soon collapse. In the southern port city of Tyre, the Syrian-backed Amal militia killed a Lebanese man accused of collaborating with Israel.
