Morse Again Wins Honor for ‘Tru’

BOSTON — Actor Robert Morse received the eighth annual Elliot Norton Award for his portrayal of Truman Capote in the play “Tru.”
The award, named for retired Boston theater critic Elliot Norton, is given for “distinguished contribution to the theater in Boston during the preceding year.”
The award, which includes a silver medallion and $1,000, was presented to Morse on Monday night.
Morse previously won the Tony Award, the Drama League Award, the Drama Desk Award and the Outer Critics Circle Award for his performance in the Broadway play.
