A New York City man was killed and two people were injured Tuesday afternoon in a traffic collision.
Life Flight personnel worked on Jason Rivera, 22, at the scene, but he was pronounced dead at 1:16 p.m., Deputy Coroner George Dickason said.
Rivera was a passenger in a car going west on Garnet Avenue when it collided with a truck truck turning left on Mission Bay Drive, Dickason said.
The two injured people were taken to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla. Their identities were not available.
