A Ventura Police officer and his canine partner chased and caught three Oxnard teen-agers suspected of breaking into a car Saturday night, police said.
Raul T. Alcala, 19, and Mario R. Chacon, and Pedro S. Garcia, both 18, were being held on suspicion of burglary at the Ventura County Jail. No bail was set.
Officer Jack Richards was patrolling by car in a parking lot in the 2800 block of Elba Street in Montalvo about 10:30 p.m., police said, when he saw three young men break a window to enter a car owned by Gary Zamberletti, 18, of Oxnard. Richards and the dog gave chase and found the suspects hiding in a field with a car stereo and cassette tapes, police said.
