Elsie the Cow Is Back: It has been more than two decades since Elsie the Cow appeared in a TV commercial for Borden dairy products. But this week, an animated version of the friendly cow once again appears in TV ads to remind consumers, “If it’s Borden, it’s got to be good.” Baer Animation, the same Studio City company that did the animation for the film “Who Framed Roger Rabbit?” created the animation for the commercial. “With the return of traditional values and emphasis on good nutrition, we feel it’s time for a new generation to come to know the almost human cow,” said John Rutan, director of marketing at Borden, Inc.
