Dr. William H. Grishaw, 87, specialist in diabetes who founded UniBetic Camps for Southern California young people suffering from diabetes. Grishaw believed strongly in educating young diabetics to manage their disease. He operated the camping program in the San Bernardino Mountains from 1946 until it ended in 1976. A former chief of staff and medical director of the Hospital of the Good Samaritan, he was president of the American Diabetes Assn. in 1972-73 and helped organize the group’s California chapter.
