A two-alarm fire early this morning raced through a Santa Ana floral supply business, causing an estimated $325,000 in damage before being brought under control.
The fire, which caused no injuries, broke out at 2:34 a.m. in A to Z Plantery, a business that occupies four addresses in the 2100 block of South Standard Avenue. It was brought under control 1 1/2 hours later by a team of 30 firefighters.
Sharon Frank, a Santa Ana fire public information officer, said firefighters were hindered because the building was filled with flammable products such as baskets and foam blocks. Frank estimated damage at $200,000 to the building and $125,000 to the contents.
Cause of the fire remained unknown this morning.
