Santa Ana’s Chavez in Main Event at Irvine

Ernie Chavez of Santa Ana takes on Hedgemon Robertson in the main event tonight in the monthly boxing program at the Irvine Marriott.
Chavez, a welterweight with a 10-0 record, has won his last two fights by knockout. Robertson of Los Angeles is 21-7-1. The first of six scheduled bouts starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale today at 10 a.m. at the hotel.
