Plane Plows Through Fence on Takeoff

FULLERTON — A twin-engine plane crashed through a chain-link fence and skidded across a road into an open field during an aborted takeoff Tuesday at Fullerton Municipal Airport, authorities said.
The accident was the second in two days near the airport. A single-engine Cessna crash-landed Monday in a vacant field about five miles from the airport. No one was injured in either crash.
The twin-engine Beech Baron aircraft apparently lost power as its pilot attempted to take off about 4:50 p.m., Fullerton Police Lt. Tony Hernandez said.
The pilot, Marc Henegar, 27, of Fullerton, attempted to brake and stop the plane, but it skidded through the fence and across Dale Avenue, coming to rest in an open field, Hernandez said.
The plane left 150-foot skid marks and took out about 200 feet of the fence, Hernandez said.
Henegar manages Wings Express Aviation, which owns the plane, Hernandez said. Robert Stewart, 28, of Santa Ana, and Kenneth Graham, 25, of Anaheim, who were passengers in the plane, also are employees of the firm, he said.
