Renoir Stolen in Paris: Thieves stole two paintings from two Paris museums Wednesday, officials said. Renoir’s “Portrait of a Seated Woman” was cut from its frame at the Louvre, and Hebert’s “Portrait of Monaluccia” was also cut from its frame at the Ernest Hebert Museum on the Left Bank. It was not immediately known whether the thefts were related.
