27 Die in Soviet Mishap

MOSCOW — A bus ignored a barrier at a railway crossing outside the city of Petrozavodsk and collided with a passenger train, killing 27 people and injuring at least 24, all of them passengers on the bus, the official Tass news agency said Monday.
