In a country where companies pay tens of millions of dollars to make movies, where buildings are bought and sold for similar amounts, or where a down-on-his-luck billionaire is forced to get by on $450,000 a month, I don’t think any of the costs that Hewitt associated with saving endangered species are exorbitant. In fact, it just may be that we are paying to hold together the fabric of life on this planet. Can a price be put on that?
