Commission Asked to Investigate Vandalism

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday directed the county’s Human Relations Commission to investigate last week’s vandalism of a black Agoura couple’s home.
Sheriff deputies have been investigating whether the crime was committed by “skinheads,” who espouse a white racist ideology. Among other things, the vandals spray-painted red swastikas in the house, slashed chairs, threw photographs and placed fish from an overturned aquarium into a bowl of manure. The vandalism caused an estimated $30,000 in damage.
The board voted to ask the commission to report back in 30 days with its findings.
