Countywide : 50 Drunk Driving Arrests Reported

The California Highway Patrol arrested 50 people in Ventura County on suspicion of drunk driving during the Labor Day weekend, up 15 from a year ago, officials said.
Seven of the 30 car accidents in Ventura County during the weekend were alcohol-related, the CHP said, one more than a year ago. Four people were injured in the alcohol-related crashes, CHP Officer Randy Klucker said.
Of the 30 accidents between 6 p.m. Friday and midnight Monday, one Oxnard man was killed and 25 people suffered moderate injuries, Klucker said.
A car driven by Humberto Flores, 22, went off Pacific Coast Highway in southeast Ventura County on Friday and he was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
