Ventura 52, Simi Valley 16--Ventura’s running game punished the Pioneers with fullback Jack Hammond leading the way with 88 yards and two touchdowns in 14 carries at Simi Valley.

Ventura put the game away with a 22-point second quarter. Hammonds scored on runs of six and seven yards, and Brian Reghetti scored on a six-yard run following a Simi Valley fumble late in the first half.
