I am shocked that The Times would publish such a far-reaching story about the Menendez brothers prior to their trial (“The Brothers Menendez,” by John Johnson and Ronald L. Soble). Any potential juror reading this lengthy--but well-written--article could not help but have misgivings as to the innocence of Lyle and Erik Menendez.
It seems to me that a great disservice has been performed in bringing out such facts so far in advance of the trial.
