The bicycle race formerly known as the Tour de Trump has received sanctioning from the International Professional Cycling Federation, said Michael Plant, president of the company that owns the event.
Financier Donald Trump pulled his name and $2 million out of the event this summer. Race organizers said they hope to announce a new sponsor soon.
