Running back Steve Miller scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns Saturday night to lead Antelope Valley College to a 20-0 victory and its first home win in six tries since 1988.
Miller scored on runs of three and 61 yards and finished with 75 yards in 10 carries.
The Marauders, who won their second game of the season without a defeat, had gone 0-4-1 at home the past two years. Birk Sopsher opened the scoring with a 58-yard punt return on the final play of the first quarter.
Antelope Valley’s win marked its second successive shutout victory over Kings River. Antelope Valley won the teams’ previous meeting in 1988, 26-0.
