Dr. Herbert Stark, a hand surgeon who operated on or treated athletes such as Jerry West, Wilt Chamberlain, Sandy Koufax and Bill Shoemaker, died at his home in South Pasadena. He was 68.
Stark, who had suffered from liver cancer, retired from active practice earlier this year.
Services will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at Calvary Presbyterian Church in South Pasadena.
