Nominations for 1991’s 63rd Annual Academy Awards will be announced on Feb. 13 with trophies handed out March 25, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences said Thursday.
The awards ceremony will be produced for the second year in a row by film director Gil Cates. It was Cates who restored the 1990 broadcast to more traditional staging after a campy romp by director Allan Carr.
After one year at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, the Oscars will move to the larger Shrine Auditorium, site of the 1989 show. The show will be seen on ABC.
