WASHINGTON — Syndicated columnist Jack Anderson said Friday that he was robbed of a small amount of cash after being hit on the head by an assailant carrying a pipe.
Anderson, who has written about Washington politics for the last 43 years, said the attack occurred Thursday afternoon outside his office about eight blocks north of the White House.
The assailant took an undetermined amount of cash before fleeing on foot. Anderson, who was not seriously injured, said he walked a short distance back to his office, where he notified authorities.
