Monrovia 14, Hoover 10--Tailback George Chavers scored on a two-yard touchdown run with 40 seconds left to lift the Wildcats at home. The touchdown came after Hoover punter David Bronner bobbled the ball after a bad snap and Monrovia’s Brian Deets recovered at the eight-yard line.
Hoover’s only touchdown came on running back Ara Balkian’s one-yard run early in the fourth quarter.
