Faria Continues Winning Ways at Speedway

COSTA MESA — Mike Faria of Riverside won his eighth scratch main event of the season Friday night in front of 3,187 at the Orange County Fairgrounds.
Chris Manchester’s victory in the eight-lap handicap main event was his first of the race season.
In the four-lap scratch main event, Shawn McConnell of Brea finished second, Josh Larsen of Newport Beach was third and Bobby Schwartz of Costa Mesa took fourth.
McConnell finished second to Manchester of Hesperia in the handicap event. Brad Oxley of San Juan Capistrano was third.
