Crescenta Valley 22, South Pasadena 21--Jason Schwaiger rushed for 104 yards in 17 carries and made a key defensive play late in the game, preserving Crescenta Valley’s narrow triumph at Glendale High.
Schwaiger stopped South Pasadena quarterback Erik Shear’s attempt for a two-point conversion with about seven minutes left to preserve the one-point victory for the Falcons (2-2).
Crescenta Valley quarterback Aaron Schaefer completed five of 13 for 111 yards and a touchdown.
Greg Pierce led South Pasadena (0-4) in rushing with 49 yards and a touchdown. Shear completed seven of 20 for 102 yards and a touchdown.
