The Saddleback College Foundation will auction works by some 60 California artists on Saturday as part of “Education: A Cause for Celebration,” with proceeds to benefit the college’s art gallery exhibit program and capital campaign for a new visual and performing arts complex. The fund raiser will be held at the Mission Viejo Mall and will include dinner and entertainment. Silent bids for most of the works will be taken from 7 to 10 p.m.; a live auction of six larger works will be held at 9 p.m. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door. Information: (714) 582-4530.
