Dwayne Schintzius’ agent said the San Antonio Spurs should either trade the 7-foot-2, first-round draft choice or prepare for a holdout.
Schintzius’ agent, Bob Woolf, said the Spurs sent him two proposals, one of which was a one-year contract for the NBA minimum of $170,000 annually. The other reportedly was a two-year deal worth $250,000 to $300,000 a season, with little or none of the money guaranteed.
Spur President Gary Woods confirmed that two proposals were sent to Schintzius’ agent, but declined to discuss the terms.
